Law.com International named London partner Adam Runcorn to its “Rising Stars: Europe’s Best Up-and-Coming Private Equity Lawyers” list, which recognizes “up-and-coming talents within the U.K. and European legal industry.” Winners were selected based on the quality of their client base; the scale, significance, and complexity of their deals; their client feedback and general market reputation; the standing of their mentors; and other examples of career success and innovation.
Adam was commended for his work on “major mandates,” notably for co-leading the Sidley team that represented Clearlake Capital Group, L.P. on the landmark £4.25 billion acquisition of the UK Premier League’s Chelsea Football Club in a consortium co-led with Todd Boehly, Chairman and CEO of Eldridge. Adam focuses on advising European and international private equity sponsors and other financial institutions on cross-border corporate and M&A transactions, including leveraged buyouts, strategic mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, joint ventures, structured and minority equity investments, equity and debt restructurings, and management equity plans, as well as related advisory work.
