Law360 has named Sidley as a “Florida Powerhouse” in its annual list of Regional Powerhouses, recognizing Sidley's leading presence in Florida as an advisor to clients on matters of national significance.
Since opening in 2022, Sidley’s Miami office has grown to over 50 lawyers serving approximately 700 clients on nearly 1,400 matters and is moving into its new 60,000 square foot space at the Class-A+ office tower at 830 Brickell.
Sidley’s lawyers are actively engaged in the South Florida community, with partners serving on boards and as members of several non-profit organizations, including the University of Miami School of Law Dean’s Advisory Committee, the Beacon Council, the Orange Bowl Committee, Miami Children’s Museum, Zoo Miami Foundation, Greater Miami Jewish Federation, and the Adrienne Arsht Center. In June 2024, Sidley partnered with nonprofit KABOOM! to construct a brand-new play area at the Miami Children’s Museum to ensure that every child has a safe place to experience the numerous physical, social, and mental health benefits of play.
In addition to representing global clients locally, nationally, and internationally on real estate, litigation, sports and entertainment, capital markets, corporate, and blockchain, cryptocurrency, and other regulatory matters, the Miami office recorded 3,159 pro bono hours for 2024, achieving impactful results, including a seven-level federal sentence reduction in a compassionate leave matter.
Sidley’s rapidly growing footprint and its significant commitment to the South Florida community are a testament to the firm's longstanding culture of representing clients and the community at the highest levels.
