Sidley Pro Bono Team Honored with Her Justice’s 2026 Commitment to Justice “Legal Team Award”

Her Justice has recognized Juan A. Arteaga, Adriana Bones Ortega, Thomas M. Cramer, and Martha O. Tabor with its 2026 “Legal Team Award” at the Commitment to Justice award ceremony.

The Sidley team has been honored for its outstanding pro bono work on an immigration matter, which has included successfully challenging the Department of Homeland Security’s attempt to impose a $1.8 million fine on the firm’s client for remaining in the country while pursuing a U visa petition.

The “Legal Team Award” celebrates teams of pro bono attorneys whose determined, coordinated approach delivers wins for their clients. The recognition underscores Sidley’s commitment to providing impactful pro bono representation, and helping expand access to justice for individuals and communities in need.

Her Justice recruits and mentors volunteer lawyers to provide free legal assistance to women living in poverty in New York City, and works to address individual and systemic barriers to justice.
