Sidley Advises Sunac China Holdings Limited on Its Top-Up Placing of Existing Shares and Subscription of New Shares

Sidley represented Sunac China Holdings Limited (Sunac) (HKEX: 1918) in connection with its top-up placing of existing shares and subscription of new shares under general mandate. The gross proceeds from the subscription are approximately HK$1.205 billion (US$155 million). The placing agent is China International Capital Corporation Hong Kong Securities Limited.
Sunac and its subsidiaries are principally engaged in the property development and property investment business in China, with leading capabilities in Chinese real estate, cultural tourism, urban development, and integrated industrial operations.
The Sidley team was led by partner Christopher Cheng, other team members included partner Carrie Li, senior managing associates Ammo Chan and Jacob Zhao, and trainee solicitor Wincy Yim.
