Sidley Represents Amazon Web Services in US$4 Billion Long-Term Strategic Cloud Services Agreement With Pinterest

June 9, 2026

Sidley represented Amazon Web Services (AWS) in a long-term strategic cloud services agreement under which Pinterest will commit approximately US$4 billion to AWS through 2031. The deal extends a customer relationship that AWS first established with Pinterest in 2010 and positions AWS as the foundation for Pinterest’s artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and cloud infrastructure roadmap.

Pinterest will run its AI workloads on AWS Trainium and AWS Graviton, using these purpose-built AWS chips to train and deploy models at scale. The AWS infrastructure will power Pinterest’s visual search and discovery features, enabling users to find inspiration, curate ideas, and shop products across the platform. More details about the transaction are available here.

The Sidley team was led by Matthew Brandt (Technology and Life Sciences Transactions) and included Patrick Donaldson (Technology and Life Sciences Transactions).
