ROY COHEN focuses his practice on shareholder engagement and activism defense, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance.
Prior to joining Sidley, Roy served as an attorney (examiner) at the Israel Securities Authority and a judicial clerk for the Hon. Justice Elyakim Rubinstein and a senior judicial clerk for Hon. Justice Salim Jourbran at the Supreme Court of Israel. Roy is an IDF veteran (rank: major).
Roy received his L.L.M. from Columbia Law School; his L.L.B., magna cum laude (top 5%), from the College of Management – Academic Studies, Haim Striks School of Law; and his B.A. in business and accounting from the College of Management – Academic Studies, School of Business. Roy is a JSD candidate at Columbia Law School and his research focuses on shareholder activism.
