Biography
MATTHEW CRAMER advises asset managers, sponsors, investors, issuers, and other market participants across a variety of structured finance matters, including securitizations, asset-backed financings, trade receivable financings, bespoke lending facilities, repurchase transactions, and commercial paper issuances. Matthew’s work encompasses traditional and alternative asset-classes, advising with respect to forward-flow facilities, back-book purchases, and other strategic partnerships between asset-managers, originators, servicers, and other structured finance participants.

Representative Matters
- KKR in connection with the ABF transaction related to its participation in a consortium acquisition of GreenSky.
- A leading asset manager on the acquisition and financing of GoodLeap loans.
- A venture capital fund on a bespoke structure to provide financings to startup companies.
The above matters were handled prior to joining Sidley.
Community Involvement
Pro Bono
In addition to his transactional practice, Matthew represents asylum seekers in connection with their applications and interviews before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services agency.
Matthew received the Duke Law Clinics Clinic Advocacy Award in 2019 for his work with the Duke Law International Human Rights Clinic.
