Biography

KIM GUBBELS focuses her practice on public and private mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and capital markets transactions, as well as general corporate governance matters.

Prior to joining Sidley, Kim worked as a pension legal and plan policy analyst at one of Canada’s largest defined benefit pension plans, where she aided in the day-to-day administration of the pension plan, ensuring compliance with evolving laws, regulations, and plan rules.

Kim received her J.D. and MBA from the University of Toronto and her B.B.A. from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Representative Matters

  • Ardent Health Partners, Inc. (Ardent Health) in its US$192 million initial public offering.
  • Cal-Maine Foods, Inc. in an underwritten public offering of 2,978,740 shares of its common stock by family members of Cal-Maine’s late founder at a public offering price of US$92.75 per share, and in a concurrent repurchase from the selling stockholders by Cal-Maine of approximately US$50 million of its common stock.
