Biography

JOSEPH HASBROUCK focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, government enforcement actions, and investigations.

Joseph received his J.D. from Harvard Law School. While in law school, Joseph was an articles editor for the Harvard Journal of Law & Technology. Prior to law school, he worked in financial services. Joseph earned his A.B., cum laude, in economics from Harvard College.


Community Involvement

Pro Bono

Prior to joining the firm, Joseph served as a pro bono fellow at the ACLU of DC, where he worked on various civil rights issues, including procedural due process, free speech, and immigrants’ rights. At Sidley, Joseph has worked on several pro bono matters, including drafting a successful motion to suppress in a criminal prosecution and challenging a government policy to withhold certain veterans benefits.
