KATELYN HUGHES focuses her practice on corporate and securities matters, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, corporate governance, shareholder activism, and securities filings.
Prior to joining Sidley, Katelyn worked as a judicial intern for The Honorable Bonnie Mizdol in Bergen County Superior Court, where she synthesized research and drafted memorandum for the New Jersey’s Open Public Records Act.
While attending University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, Katelyn served as an executive editor of the Journal of International Law, Vol. 42. She was also a member of the The Penn Carey Law Entertainment & Sports Law Society and participated in the Detkin Intellectual Property & Technology Legal Clinic focusing on copyright, entertainment, and trademark matters.
