Biography
ROBERT KAO focuses his practice on all aspects of structured finance, with particular focus on commercial real estate capital markets transactions including the representation of issuers, sponsors, underwriters, servicers and investors in public and private commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) transactions, A/B and pari passu mortgage loan structures, and mezzanine loans in Sidley’s Global Finance practice. As a partner in the firm’s Global Finance group, Robert also has experience representing issuers and underwriters in connection with whole business securitizations, including rental car fleet financings and wireless communication tower portfolio financings.
