Ansley C. McDurmon

ANSLEY MCDURMON focuses her practice on litigation strategies and appellate litigation. Ansley has advised clients on various federal statutory, regulatory, and complex procedural issues.

Prior to joining Sidley, Ansley worked as a middle school science teacher and an editorial assistant at the Sewanee Review, America’s longest continually published literary quarterly. She earned a B.A. in English literature and ecology from Sewanee: The University of the South.

While attending Vanderbilt University Law School, Ansley served as an honor counsel representative, director of the law school climbing club, and co-founder of Knitigation, a fiber arts group committed to fostering conversation across graduate programs.

• Ansley completed a 10-week pro bono fellowship with the Washington Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs. During this time, she worked with the Housing, Education, and Immigration Justice teams on matters in various phases of active litigation.
