STEPHAN POPA focuses his practice on global finance.
Prior to joining Sidley, Stephan interned at the Office of Tax and Revenue for the District of Columbia, where he gained experience in legal research.
While attending Fordham University and Georgetown University Law Center, 2019–2023, Stephan served on Queens Community Board 11 as a board member, including being a member of the Board’s Transportation, Education, Capital/Expense Budget, and Little Neck Zoning Committees. He also served as a member of the Public Relations and the Public Safety and Licensing Committees for part of his time on the board. Prior to Stephan’s Community Board service, he created the Little Neck LiNk campaign, seeking to improve bus service on Little Neck Parkway in Eastern Queens. The campaign led to improved bus service on Route Q36, and Stephan was recognized by then-Queens Borough President Melinda Katz with a Citation of Honor.
