Gavin Tan

GAVIN TAN focuses his practice on corporate and securities law matters, including capital markets transactions, securities filings, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity transactions.

Prior to joining Sidley, Gavin worked as a law clerk at a global law firm in Singapore.

While attending the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, Gavin served as an editor of the Journal of Law and Innovation. During law school, he also served as treasurer for the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association.

Gavin received his B.S, summa cum laude, in engineering management from the University of the Pacific.

Prior to law school, Gavin served as an officer in the Singapore Armed Forces for two years.

• Planet Financial Group, LLC (Planet) in connection with a high-yield Rule 144A offering of US$475.0 million aggregate principal amount of 10.50% Senior Notes due 2029.
• DCLI BidCo LLC, the direct parent of Direct ChassisLink, Inc. (DCLI), in connection with its high-yield Rule 144A offering of US$500 million aggregate principal amount of 7.750% Senior Secured Second Lien Notes due 2029.
