MADELINE THORPE focuses her practice on commercial litigation and disputes as well as government investigations.
Prior to joining Sidley, Madeline participated in the firm’s Pro Bono Fellowship at Brooklyn Defender Services, where she worked in the family defense practice.
Madeline received her B.A. in English, cum laude, from Washington and Lee University, and her J.D. from UCLA School of Law.
While attending law school, Madeline served as co-editor-in-chief of the Journal of Law and Technology, and participated in UCLA’s Tribal Legal Development Clinic. She also served as a Research Assistant with UCLA’s Institute for Technology, Law, and Policy, and externed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California.
Prior to law school, Madeline worked in business development marketing and research at JLL in Washington, D.C.
