Biography
MADELINE THORPE focuses her practice on commercial litigation and disputes.
Madeline rejoined the firm after clerking for The Honorable Brandon S. Long of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. Prior to joining Sidley, she participated in the firm’s Pro Bono Fellowship at Brooklyn Defender Services, where she worked in the family defense practice.
While attending UCLA School of Law, Madeline served as the co-editor-in-chief of the Journal of Law and Technology, as well as a research assistant with UCLA’s Institute for Technology, Law, and Policy. She also participated in UCLA’s Tribal Legal Development Clinic and externed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California.
Before law school, Madeline worked in business development marketing and research at JLL in Washington, D.C.
