Biography
JACK ZERINGUE advises public and private companies on complex corporate and transactional matters, focusing on mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions. He also advises clients on corporate governance and general corporate matters. Jack’s experience includes representation of clients in a variety of industries, including financial services, marinas, energy, technology, manufacturing, insurance, entertainment, and healthcare. In addition to his transactional practice, Jack routinely provides pro bono services through both the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program and Sidley’s Emerging Enterprises Pro Bono Program.
Jack’s work has earned him recognition in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America® 2026 for Corporate Law, Energy Law, and Mergers and Acquisitions Law.
Jack is a member of the firm’s Committee for the Recruiting of Associates for the Dallas office. Outside of the firm, he is an active member in his community. In 2021, Jack was selected as a member of the 2021 Dallas Association of Young Lawyer’s (“DAYL”) 25th annual Leadership Class, which provides opportunities to a group of 40 Dallas-area young lawyers to develop relationships with local city leaders and one another. Additionally, he currently serves as a member of the LSU Law Board of Trustees and as a member of the KidLinks Energy Golf Classic Committee. In 2023, Jack was invited to become a Fellow of the DAYL Foundation, an elite group of lawyers recognized by their peers and the Board of Trustees of the DAYL Foundation for both their professional distinction and community and bar service. In 2024, Jack was selected as a member of the 2024–2025 Emerging Leaders in Philanthropy Cohort at the Communities Foundation of Texas, a training and networking program focused on the philanthropic landscape in North Texas.
Jack earned his J.D. and D.C.L., both cum laude, from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center. While attending law school, he was the online editor of the Louisiana Law Review and the executive producer and host of The Legal Ease, a podcast aimed at apprising legal students and professionals of relevant legal topics. He earned his B.A. in finance from the Louisiana State University E.J. Ourso College of Business.

- Flip, Inc., a social and live e-commerce platform, in its acquisition of Curated, Inc., a developer of a collaborative shopping platform.
- Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners in the sale of its portfolio company, WTG Midstream Holdings LLC, the largest private Permian gas gathering and processing business with assets located in the core of the Midland Basin, to Energy Transfer LP. for US$3.25 billion.
- Apollo Global Management in the acquisition of Credit Suisse’s Securitized Products Group, a full-service, vertically integrated credit solutions provider to a range of lenders across residential and commercial real estate, consumer, and other asset classes.
- Safe Harbor Marinas, LLC, the owner and operator of the world’s largest boating network, in its US$2.11 billion sale to Sun Communities, Inc., a publicly traded REIT focused on manufactured housing and recreational vehicle communities in the United States and Canada.
- New Residential Investment Corp. in its stalking horse acquisition of substantially all of the forward mortgage-related assets of Ditech Holding Corporation for US$1.2 billion.
- OMERS Private Equity in its sale of MatrixCare Holdings Inc., a long-term post-acute care technology provider, to ResMed Operations Inc. for US$750 million.
- OMERS Private Equity in its acquisition of Community Vet Partners, an owner and operator of veterinary hospitals in the U.S., from Cortec Group.

- LifePoint Health, a portfolio company of Apollo Global Management and a leading healthcare provider that serves patients, clinicians, communities, and partner organizations across the healthcare continuum, in its acquisition of a controlling stake of Springstone, a leading behavioral health provider.
- Apollo Global Management in its acquisition of Voya Insurance and Annuity Company, including Voya’s closed block variable annuity business, from Voya Financial through a consortium for US$500 million.
- Accelerant Holdings, a portfolio company of Altamont Capital Partners, in the private placement of preferred stock to multiple unrelated third-party institutional investors, including Eldridge Industries.
- Altamont Capital partners in its acquisition of a majority stake and US$150 million growth capital commitment to Fleming Holdings, a P&C insurance capital solutions provider with a current focus on run-off and legacy reserve transactions.
- Public Sector Pension (PSP) Investment Board in its capital investment for a significant minority stake in United Talent Agency, a leading global talent and entertainment company.
- Clearlake Capital Group in its add-on acquisition of Infogix, Inc., a leader in data integrity and governance software, together with TA Associates, through their backed portfolio company Precisely, a global leader in data integrity, providing accuracy, consistency, and context in data for 12,000 customers in more than 100 countries, including 90% of the Fortune 100.
- Precisely, a portfolio company of Clearlake Capital Group and TA Associates, in its acquisition of PlaceIQ, a leading data and technology provider that powers marketing and business decisions with location-based consumer insights.
- Vistra Energy in its private offering of a US$800 million aggregate principal amount of senior notes to qualified institutional buyers.
- General Datatech, a leading IT solutions provider, in a growth investment by H.I.G. Capital, a leading global alternative investment firm with over US$45 billion of equity capital under management.
- A client family in forming an aviation-related, nonprofit museum and further assisted in the museum’s purchase of a historic military collection (including planes, tanks, and armaments) in a deal valued at US$135 million.
- General Electric Company in its global joint venture with Baker Hughes for aero-derivative gas turbine engines, and related transactions for General Electric Company’s separation from Baker Hughes.
- General Electric Company in its joint venture with BlackRock Real Assets to design, build, own, and operate distributed solar and storage solutions.
- Laredo Petroleum in its US$130 million acquisition of acreage from Cordero Energy Resources.
- Dell EMC in its sale of the technology and team of Dell EMC Service Assurance Suite, composed of software spanning network health, performance monitoring, and root cause analysis for communications service providers and their customers, to VMware, Inc.
