| Project Description | Wanda Organic is a Kenyan company that supplies ‘bio-organic soil fertility technologies’ (bio fertilizers) to smallholders and commercial farming operations across the country. By restoring soil health, Wanda’s products are proven to enable farmers to grow more and better quality food, which in turn leads to increased profitability and family incomes, new employment opportunities and stronger rural economies. Wanda, which was established in 2012, currently imports the fertilizer products directly from the manufacturer (and creator of the bio-organic microbial formula) in the Philippines and has an exclusive license for distribution in Kenya. The company plans to expand operations significantly, including building a manufacturing plant in Kenya during 2016, producing the product locally, and extending sales and distribution across East Africa.
