Sidley has again been recognized by Turnarounds & Workouts in its special report on the significant “European Restructuring Practices of Major U.S. Law Firms.” Sidley partners Kieran Sharma and Dhevine Chandrapala were highlighted as key professionals by the publication.
Turnarounds & Workouts has noted Sidley’s role in a set of significant restructurings, including representing Ad Hoc Group of Class B Creditors to the Thames Water Group in relation to its £3 billion rescue financing proposal, advising Sino-Ocean in its US$6 billion offshore debt restructuring, and for acting for Coupang in its acquisition of the business and assets of Farfetch. It also noted Sidley’s role advising Shimao in a landmark US$11.5 billion offshore debt restructuring, acting as the international legal adviser to Kaisa Group Holdings Ltd. in its restructuring of approximately US$12.3 billion in offshore debt, representing H.I.G. Capital in respect of the restructuring fits portfolio company Cabonline Group Holding AB, as well as acting for Zhongliang in successful offshore debt restructuring.
