Mark K. Castiglia and Nima H. Mohebbi Named 2026 “Sports Business Visionaries”

Mark K. Castiglia and Nima H. Mohebbi, both partners in Sidley’s Century City office, have been recognized by the Los Angeles Times in its 2026 “Sports Business Visionaries,” which celebrates visionary individuals “who have had a significant impact on the sports industry.”

The Los Angeles Times has recognized Mark’s transactional counsel in the sports space, highlighting his representation of Mark Mastrov, founder of 24 Hour Fitness, in the strategic acquisition of 24 Hour Fitness, bringing him back into an ownership and leadership role. Mark’s counsel to Chelsea FC Women, regarding a landmark investment by Seven Seven Six, has also been noted.

Nima has been highlighted as a “nationally recognized trial lawyer leading complex litigation at the intersection of sports, media, and gaming.” The Los Angeles Times has specifically noted his representation of the City of Pasadena and Rose Bowl Operating Company in a dispute concerning UCLA’s proposed relocation of its football games to SoFi Stadium. His work with Chess.com, in its agreement with the Esports World Cup Foundation for the inaugural Esports Nations Cup, has also been specifically highlighted.
