Bonnie A. Neuman and Tara Higgins Named to Crain’s New York Business’ 2026 “Notable Leaders in Accounting, Consulting & Law” List

Sidley partners Bonnie A. Neuman and Tara Higgins have been named by Crain’s New York Business to its 2026 “Notable Leaders in Accounting, Consulting & Law” list. The honorees include professionals whose work spans major corporate finance matters, multibillion-dollar fund formations and capital raises, and financial matters for private equity-backed companies.

Bonnie leads Sidley’s global Real Estate practice and oversees more than 80 lawyers advising major financial institutions and lenders on complex domestic and cross-border real estate finance matters. Her practice includes mortgage and mezzanine loans, securitized financings, construction loans, and restructurings across the real estate and hospitality sectors. Crain’s New York specifically highlighted Bonnie’s role leading the US$3.2 billion financing and preferred equity investment for the Aria Resort & Casino and Vdara Hotel & Spa in Las Vegas.

Tara is a co-leader of Sidley’s global Energy, Transportation and Infrastructure practice and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. She leads more than 160 lawyers advising private equity sponsors, developers, and lenders on domestic and cross-border energy and infrastructure transactions, including M&A, financings, and project development. Crain’s New York recognized Tara’s representation of Ares Energy Infrastructure Funds and I Squared Capital in the US$960 million sale of Oregon Clean Energy Center to American Electric Power.
