Biography

ALICIA GARTEN focuses her practice on a wide range of commercial litigation matters. Alicia has experience conducting internal investigations, drafting and responding to dispositive motions, conducting discovery, and trial. She also maintains an active pro bono practice representing incarcerated individuals.

Alicia previously served as a law clerk for The Honorable Steven C. Seeger of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Alicia graduated cum laude from the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law. While in law school, Alicia served as a comment editor for the Northwestern Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology, a teaching assistant, and a research assistant. She was a finalist in the 58th Julius H. Miner Moot Court Competition and participated in the MacArthur Justice Center Civil Rights Litigation Clinic. Prior to law school, Alicia served as a legislative staffer in the U.S. House of Representatives. She earned a B.A. in international studies from Washington University in St. Louis.
