Biography
JR HOBBIE focuses his practice on securities litigation and complex commercial litigation matters, including matters concerning various contract and tort claims. JR has also represented clients in domestic white collar investigations.
He rejoined the firm following clerkships for The Honorable Gustavo A. Gelpí of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit in San Juan, Puerto Rico and The Honorable Susan D. Wigenton of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. JR earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he served as the managing editor for business on the Journal of Law & Politics. Prior to law school, JR attended Brown University, where he served as a captain of Brown’s varsity men’s basketball team.
