SHARANYAA KRUTI VASAN advises sponsors, investors, lenders, developers, and other project participants on project finance transactions, with a particular focus on renewable energy and energy transition projects. Her practice centers on the financing, development, and commercialization of energy infrastructure, where she represents clients in a broad range of financing transactions.

Sharanyaa has more than a decade of experience advising on project development, construction, term and bridge financings, warehouse and equipment loan facilities, tax equity and preferred equity financings, and other debt and equity arrangements supporting energy projects. She regularly represents clients in transactions involving solar, battery energy storage systems, distributed energy resources, renewable natural gas facilities, clean energy portfolios, and other energy assets, helping clients structure and execute financing solutions for projects at various stages of development.

• Equinor in connection with the debt financing for its Empire Wind 1 project, an approximately 810 MW, offshore wind generating facility located off the coast of Long Island, New York.
• Deutsche Bank AG and First-Citizens Bank & Trust Company in connection with UBS Asset Management’s development of a 728MW portfolio of four battery storage Projects located in Texas.
• The lenders in the US$350 million construction financing of two battery storage projects in Texas and California owned by Aypa Power.
• CleanCapital in connection with various warehouse and equipment loan facilities for its portfolio of solar projects.
• Investec and the lenders in connection with financing the development and construction of a food-to-waste renewable natural gas (RNG) project in Linden, New Jersey.
• The lenders in connection with acquisition financing to partially fund StonePeak’s acquisition of a 50% interest in the Key Access Pipeline Systems (KAPS), a Canadian natural gas liquids (NGL) pipeline system connecting Northwest Alberta to energy hubs in Edmonton and Fort Saskatchewan.
• The sponsor in tax equity financing for a utility-scale solar project in Texas.
