
Biography
MARTIN MARTINEZ focuses his practice on litigation.
Prior to joining Sidley, Martin clerked for the Honorable Nancy L. Maldonado of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and for the Honorable Rebecca R. Pallmeyer of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He also served as a Public Interest Law Institute fellow at Legal Aid Chicago.
Martin earned his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School, where he was a Tony Patiño Fellow. During law school, he served as co-president of the Latino Law Students Association and worked in the Mandel Legal Aid Clinic’s Civil Rights and Police Accountability Clinic.
Martin received a combined Bachelor of Arts–Bachelor of Science degree from Brown University. While at Brown, he competed on the varsity cross country and track teams.
