Sidley Lawyers Matt Warren, Allison Davis, and Stephen Laudone to Speak at ASLRRA General Counsel Symposium

Sidley partners Matt Warren and Allison Davis and senior managing associate Stephen Laudone will be speaking at the ASLRRA General Counsel Symposium from September 9-10, 2025, along with other legal practitioners from across the U.S. focusing on railroad law.

On September 9, 2025, Stephen Laudone will take part in a panel examining recent Board decisions from 2025, titled “STB Year in Review.” These proceedings cover a variety of topics of potential interest to short line railroads, including merger review and condition enforcement, abandonments and Trails Act proceedings, construction and operation licensing, preemption, and practice and procedure before the agency.

Following this panel, Matt Warren and Allison Davis will be co-presenting a panel titled “The Current STB and What it Means for Short Lines,” which will provide an overview of the Board’s functions, the current membership, recent structural changes, current policy priorities, and what all of that means for short lines.
