Liam Paskvan Joins Sidley’s Energy, Transportation and Infrastructure Group

April 22, 2026

Boston – Sidley is pleased to announce that Liam Paskvan has joined the firm’s Energy, Transportation and Infrastructure group as a counsel in the firm’s office in Boston.

Mr. Paskvan has extensive experience in assisting developers of both large-scale energy infrastructure and grid-scale transmission. He is skilled in negotiating complex project agreements — including power purchase; engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC); and generator interconnection agreements — as well as in providing legal oversight to clients at all stages of a project’s life cycle, including permitting, development, construction, operations, and maintenance.

Prior to joining Sidley, Mr. Paskvan led the legal department of the nation’s first utility-scale offshore wind generation project and leveraged firsthand, in-house experience to best understand and meet the needs of his clients. He also previously served as a Special Assistant Attorney General in the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, where he worked on energy and environmental matters on behalf of ratepayers.

“Liam is a great addition to the practice and brings a rare combination of in-house leadership experience and deep technical knowledge of complex energy infrastructure projects. His track record across project development, financing, and regulatory matters positions him to deliver immediate value to our clients,” said Cliff Vrielink, a member of Sidley’s Executive Committee and global leader of the Energy, Transportation and Infrastructure practice. “He brings a practical, business-oriented perspective that will resonate strongly with our clients and further strengthen our global platform.”

“Liam’s background advising on the full life cycle of energy projects, from development through financing and operations, further strengthens our team,” said Tara Higgins, a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and a co-leader of Sidley’s global Energy, Transportation and Infrastructure practice. “He deepens our capabilities in project development and finance, as well as due diligence for M&A transactions involving commercial contracts, enhancing our ability to deliver fully integrated support across the life cycle of energy investments.”

Other recent additions to Sidley’s leading Energy, Transportation and Infrastructure practice include John Thomas in New York, Alun Evans in Singapore, and Steven Tredennick and Paris Theofanidis in Houston.

Sidley’s Energy, Transportation and Infrastructure practice offers broad experience advising clients in the energy, digital media, transportation, and logistics industries, ranging from transactional, regulatory, and litigation support.
