Sidley Continues to Expand Energy, Transportation and Infrastructure Practice With James Schneider in Miami

Miami – Sidley is pleased to announce that James Schneider has joined the Energy, Transportation and Infrastructure practice in the firm’s office in Miami. Mr. Schneider joins from Squire Patton Boggs, where he was a part of the Debt Finance practice in the Financial Services group.

Mr. Schneider advises utilities, lenders, agents, sponsors, borrowers, and public and private companies on domestic and cross-border project finance, corporate finance, and commercial finance transactions with an emphasis on renewable energy and sustainability. He has significant experience structuring and negotiating syndicated and single-bank credit facilities, private placements, bridge and construction financings, asset-based and cash flow facilities, and other complex financing arrangements.

Mr. Schneider focuses on corporate finance for energy companies and financing of the development, acquisition, construction, and operation of infrastructure and power projects, including utility-scale solar, wind, and battery projects, as well as the transmission of gas and electricity. His experience includes financings for individual projects and portfolios of energy assets, including corporate financings and secured and back-levered structures, as well as transactions involving tax equity investors and project-related tax credits.
