NAWL is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing leadership, a collective voice, and necessary resources to advance women in the legal profession and to advocate for women’s equality under the law. The leaders will be recognized and celebrated during the organization’s virtual Mid-Year Meeting on March 16.
Patricia Wood’s practice focuses on corporate and securities law matters and involves the representation of issuers, dealers, underwriters, and agents in domestic and cross-border, SEC-registered and exempt transactions, including offerings of common and preferred stock, senior debt, and equity derivatives. Her work in capital markets also gained her recognition in the 2020 Crain’s New York Business’ “20 in Their 20s” list. She currently serves as a member of the New York Associate Relations Committee and the Committee on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. She volunteers with several organizations in the community, including the Canadian Association of New York and the University of Toronto Alumni Association, and plans networking events for the Osgoode-Schulich JD/MBA Alumni Association in New York. Patricia is also the co-facilitator for a Women in Derivatives (WIND) wolfpack, where she engages with other female leaders in the derivatives space, as well as collaborating with other empowering women as a co-chair of the NAWL’s Women in Corporate Transactions affinity group.
