Partners Yuet Ming Tham and Stephanie Chan have been honored as part of the Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific 2024 Awards. Yuet has been recognized as part of the “Top 100 Women in Litigation,” and Stephanie has been included in the “Top 40 under 40” list. The Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific Awards “celebrate the leading litigators and most impactful disputes across Asia-Pacific.”
Yuet is the global co-leader of the White Collar Defense and Investigations practice and leader of the Asia-Pacific Compliance and Investigations practice. Yuet is qualified in New York, England & Wales, Singapore, and Hong Kong and has led investigations across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific. Yuet has a special focus on the life sciences and technology industries. She has represented clients on matters before the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. SEC, FINRA, and investigations by enforcement agencies in Asia such as the HK Security and Futures Commission.
Stephanie is a member of Sidley’s multidisciplinary China Corporate and Finance group. Her practice focuses on commercial litigation, contentious regulatory matters, and international arbitration. She has extensive experience in advising multinational and Chinese companies in a broad range of commercial disputes across multiple jurisdictions, with particular focus on cross-border contractual disputes, joint venture and shareholder disputes, fraud, enforcement of securities, and debt recovery. Stephanie is particularly strong in advising on regulatory investigations conducted by regulatory and enforcement authorities including the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Securities and Futures Commission, Hong Kong Monetary Authority, Accounting and Financial Reporting Council, and Commercial Crime Bureau.
