Sidley has been named a finalist for the “Appellate Hot List” and the “Litigation Departments of the Year, Products Liability” categories at the 2025 National Law Journal Awards. This marks the 18th consecutive year Sidley has been recognized on the Appellate Hot List, a special report highlighting law firms that have handled “exemplary appellate matters.”
In addition, Supreme Court and Appellate partner Carter G. Phillips has been honored with the “Lifetime Achievement” award. Widely regarded as the “Dean of the Supreme Court Bar,” Carter has argued 91 cases before the U.S. Supreme Court and has presented more than 150 arguments before the U.S. Courts of Appeals.
Washington, D.C., managing partner Kristin Graham Koehler was also named a finalist for “DC Managing Partner of the Year.” Kristin oversees more than 300 lawyers in the D.C. office, leads the D.C. Litigation group, and serves on both the firm’s management and executive committees.
The annual awards celebrate the top work of legal professionals in Washington, D.C. Finalists and winners will be profiled on The National Law Journal’s website and honored at the awards dinner on November 5 in Washington, D.C.
