Sidley partners Rollin Ransom and Matthew Thompson have been named by the Los Angeles Times as 2026 “Entertainment Visionaries.” This annual feature recognizes leaders across a variety of industries and roles who are driving innovation across the entertainment industry.
Rollin Ransom serves as co-leader of Sidley’s Entertainment, Sports and Media group, as well as of the firm’s global Commercial Litigation and Disputes practice. He is also managing partner of the Los Angeles office. Rollin’s clients cover an array of industries, including media and entertainment, technology and financial services companies. He has extensive experience prosecuting and defending lawsuits involving a wide variety of intellectual property claims, including copyright and theft of idea, trademark, false advertising, trade secret, and unfair competition actions.
Matthew Thompson is also co-leader of the firm’s Entertainment, Sports and Media group. He represents entertainment companies and sources of capital in complex M&A and financing transactions, as well as general corporate matters. He also represents entertainment companies and other similar parties in a wide variety of industry-focused commercial transactions.
