Sidley Represents American Airlines in Purchase of Supersonic Aircraft from Boom Supersonic

Sidley is representing American Airlines in its agreement to purchase up to 20 Boom Supersonic Overture aircraft, with an option for an additional 40. American has paid a non-refundable deposit on the initial 20 aircraft. Overture is expected to carry passengers at twice the speed of today’s fastest commercial aircraft. American is poised to have the world’s largest supersonic fleet with the new Boom Supersonic aircraft.

The Sidley team was led by partner Bart Biggers, with support from partners Atman Shukla and Rob Carlson, and included associates Nick DeAngelis and Courtney Luster.
