Sidley Advises UISEE Technologies on Its Successful Chapter 18C Listing in Hong Kong

Sidley acted as Hong Kong and U.S. counsel to UISEE Technologies (Beijing) Co., Ltd. (UISEE Tech) (HKEX: 1511) in its initial public offering (IPO) and H share listing on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX), under Chapter 18C of the Hong Kong Listing Rules for Specialist Technology Companies. The offering raised approximately HK$872 million (US$112 million). CITIC Securities (Hong Kong) Limited acted as the sole sponsor in the transaction.

UISEE Tech is a provider of autonomous driving solutions specializing in driverless L4 technology in Greater China, and is the only provider worldwide to have created L4 autonomous driving solutions for airports in large-scale commercial operations. Apart from focusing on commercial vehicles in closed scenarios (especially at airports and factories), UISEE Tech’s solutions are all-scenarios, featuring logistics, operation, and mobility vehicles, and encompassing autonomous driving levels from L2 to L4.

The Sidley team was led by partners Meng Ding and Claudia Yu (China Corporate and Finance). Other team members included Kevin Chan, Cindy Liu, Liming Xu, Audrey Ng, Alice Liu, Daniel Ting, Iris Lao, and John Lau (all China Corporate and Finance). 

In June 2024, Sidley advised XtalPi which became the first Specialist Technology Company listed under Chapter 18C of the Listing Rules that came into effect in March 2023.
