Sidley Joins Tenancy Deposit Recovery Project

Sidley is proud to join the Tenancy Deposit Recovery Project, a collaborative pro bono initiative, under which city law firms have joined forces with law centres to help individuals recover tenancy deposits that have been unlawfully withheld by former landlords. The project also supports tenants whose deposits were not protected in a government-approved Tenancy Deposit Protection Scheme, as required by law.

The initiative is led by pro bono counsel Louise McCarthy and Matthew Shankland, partner and Chair of the London Pro Bono Committee in London and is supported by a team of volunteer lawyers.
