Biography

STEPHEN BEEMSTERBOER focuses his practice on commercial litigation and disputes.

While attending the University of Illinois College of Law, Steve served as an articles editor for the Journal of Law, Technology & Policy, as well as a teaching assistant for Intro to Legal Writing, Intro to Advocacy, Copyright Law, and Contracts. He received a number of writing awards, including “Best Brief” across all first-year students, and “Best Note” among those selected for journal publication. Additionally, he and his partner earned an award for brief writing from the Federal Bar Association’s Frederick Green Moot Court Competition. As a student attorney in the Federal Civil Rights Clinic, he co-chaired a trial for an incarcerated individual whose constitutional rights were violated by prison staff.

Prior to entering the legal profession, Steve spent several years working in the tech industry.
