Kwabena Boateng advises sponsors and lenders on a wide range of real estate finance transactions, and has experience of cross-border acquisition financings, investment and development financings, and back leverage financings.
Kwabena represents a variety of financial institutions and corporations based both in Europe and internationally. His work includes financings for major commercial, retail, and logistics properties located in the UK, Continental Europe and in the US.

Recent examples of Kwabena’s work includes advising:

• A European based investment bank in relation to a loan-on-loan program origination with properties in the Nordic region.
• A U.S. investment bank in relation to €350 million senior/mezzanine loans to a JV of a U.S. private equity fund and European operating partner in relation to the development of a marquee data center project in Portugal.
• A joint venture of U.S. and European real estate private equity funds in relation to acquisition and financing of a £500 million pan European hotel and hostels business, as well as subsequent asset acquisitions.
• Barclays Bank in relation to a loan-on-loan financing secured on developments in Bonn and Berlin.
• TDR Capital on a £900 million mortgage bridge financing and subsequent sale and leaseback in relation to acquiring Asda Stores.
• An asset manager in relation to a £35 million NAV financing of student accommodation.
• A U.S. Investment bank in relation to the financing of a logistics site in Germany.
• A global asset manager in relation to the acquisition and financing of a residential portfolio in Germany.
• A UK Investment bank in relation to the financing of various data centers in the UK.
• A global asset manager in relation to a loan-on-loan from a UK based bank.
