JAMIE CAPPELL focuses his practice on supporting clients in all phases of complex commercial litigation, including filing, discovery, dispute resolution, and trial. He supports clients across various industries including real estate, financial services, and entertainment.
Jamie participated in Sidley’s Pro Bono Fellowship Program, working for Bet Tzedek Legal Services, where he gained valuable impact litigation experience, supporting low income individuals in claims for breach of contract, fraudulent transfer, and unpaid wages. In law school, Jamie served as staff editor of the Columbia Journal of Tax Law, president of the Columbia Law Israel Organization, and as a teacher’s assistant for the First Year Legal Writing and Foundation Moot Court.
Before attending law school, Jamie worked as a financial consultant for an internationally recognized advisory firm, servicing some of the world’s largest financial institutions.
