
Biography
CONSTANCE CHOY is a member of Sidley’s Management Committee and Executive Committee, the managing partner for the Asia Pacific region, and the senior partner in our Hong Kong office. She is the global leader of our multi-disciplinary China Corporate and Finance practice. Her practice covers a broad spectrum of securities, mergers and acquisitions, and Hong Kong-listed companies work, including initial public offerings, secondary equity and equity-linked offerings, public company takeovers, and reverse takeovers, as well as restructurings of listed companies.
Constance has been recognized as a leading lawyer for equity capital markets and corporate/M&A work by Chambers Greater China Region for 16 consecutive years (2010 – 2026) and is recommended by Legal 500 Asia Pacific (2023 – 2026). She is highly respected by clients as having “profound knowledge, a sophisticated approach and strong leadership.” A client praised that “I don’t think there is anyone more experienced and capable than Constance in the market on IPO listing matters. Constance is a member of the Council of the Law Society of Hong Kong. She was awarded “the Chief Executive’s Commendation for Community Service” by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China (HKSAR). Constance also received a “Gold Award” by the Law Society of Hong Kong’s Pro Bono and Community Service Awards in recognition of her devotion and contribution to community service.
