ARTHUR CLOVER advises on regulatory and transactional matters related to EU and UK privacy, cybersecurity, AI, and data regulation laws, including domestic and international privacy and data protection laws, data breach and cyber incident responses, data use and localization questions, and internal audits regarding privacy and cybersecurity issues.
Arthur trained and qualified as a solicitor in Sidley’s London office, where he also gained experience in the firm’s Competition, Banking and Financial Services Regulatory, and Structured Finance practices.

Representative Matters
Arthur’s recent experience includes:
- Managing GDPR compliance projects for global clients with multiple entities across various industries.
- Assisting clients with preparing for, and responding to, cybersecurity incidents and personal data breaches.
- Advising clients on issues associated with international data transfers (including compliance with Schrems II and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework).
- Assisting with data protection and cybersecurity due diligence in connection with corporate transactions (e.g., M&A transactions).
- Advising clients on the EU’s package of new artificial intelligence and digital data legislation, including the EU AI Act and the European Health Data Space, as well as the EU’s cyber reforms, including the NISD2 and DORA, together with emerging UK privacy and digital data laws, including the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025.
- Developing external and internal facing policies, procedures, and notices to facilitate compliant data collection and handling, including privacy notices, data privacy policies, cybersecurity, and privacy risk assessments.

- Arthur has worked on several pro bono matters for a range of clients, including advising on the application of the GDPR to their processing activities. He has also assisted clients with Personal Independence Payment appeals.
