CELINE GRUAZ focuses her practice on complex business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, emerging companies and venture capital.
Celine earned her J.D. from the University of California, Irvine School of Law, where she was an International Law Scholar and Global Law and Society Fellow. While in law school, Celine was the president of the International Law Society and worked in the International Justice Clinic on a wide range of global human rights issues. Additionally, Celine served as an associate editor for the Journal of International, Transnational, and Comparative Law, as business manager for the UC Irvine Law Review, and as a research assistant to a chancellor’s professor. Celine’s research focused on the practices and policies of mediation and other cross-border dispute resolution mechanisms.
Celine externed at the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva, Switzerland, and at the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Hawaii. She also participated in Sidley’s summer associate program in 2023.
Prior to law school, Celine graduated with a B.S. in psychology from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, where she competed as a NCAA Division One tennis player.
