DAN KELLY is a staff attorney in the litigation group at the firm’s Chicago office. He focuses his practice on complex civil litigation and electronic discovery. Dan has nearly a decade of experience with matters relating to electronically stored information (ESI), including managing and working with litigation case teams on preservation, collection, production, and trial preparation-related issues. He advises clients and case teams on advanced analytical technologies such as continuous active learning (CAL), clustering, and concept searching. In 2019, Dan earned the Certified E-Discovery Specialist (CEDS) credential from the Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists (ACEDS).
Dan received his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School. He received his B.A. in Political Science from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
Prior to joining Sidley, Dan worked as an associate for another Chicago-based law firm. He also previously served as the head of marketing at an early-stage Chicago fintech startup.
