Sarah Elisabeth Sampson-King

SARAH KING focuses her practice on commercial litigation and product liability and mass torts. She represents clients in both state and federal courts, and has experience across various phases of complex litigation, including at trial.

Sarah was a member of the trial team for Monsanto in a four-plaintiff Roundup trial in Jefferson City, Missouri. The trial team moved for a mistrial when, during trial, the United States Supreme Court ruled in Monsanto Company v. Durnell (June 25, 2026) that plaintiffs’ state law-based failure-to-warn claims were preempted by federal law. The court declared a mistrial the day after the ruling.

Sarah also maintains an active pro bono practice, representing clients in immigration and compassionate release proceedings.

Before joining Sidley, Sarah earned her J.D. from Harvard Law School. White attending law school, she represented clients in criminal court through Harvard’s Criminal Justice Institute. She also served as a board member of Lambda. Prior to attending law school, Sarah was a Legislative Assistant at the Indiana State Senate. She earned her undergraduate degree summa cum laude from the University of Indianapolis.
