ANDREW T. LANGFORD is an associate in Sidley’s Dallas office and practices in the IP Litigation and Technology and IP Transactions groups.
Andrew has represented clients in litigation matters involving a variety of technologies, such as wireless communications, semiconductor manufacturing, website development software, and prostate cancer therapy. His litigation experience includes depositions of expert and fact witnesses, e-discovery management, preparation of invalidity and infringement contentions, claim construction and summary judgment proceedings, Daubert challenges, mediation, and trial preparation.
Andrew has assisted clients with the intellectual property aspects of major transactions, including secured finance and mergers and acquisitions. Andrew has also aided clients with trademark prosecution and takedowns on social media platforms.
In pro bono work, Andrew has assisted a veteran in an appeal before the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.
While attending law school, Andrew interned with the Honorable Randall R. Rader at the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, served as a Notes and Comments Editor on the Indiana Law Journal, and received honors for oral advocacy at Oxford University’s International IP Moot competition.
