Biography
RACHEL LAYNE focuses her practice on regulatory and compliance matters.
Prior to joining Sidley, Rachel worked as an intern in the office of SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce, the Office of the Assistant General Counsel for International Affairs at the U.S. Department of Treasury, and the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association.
Rachel earned her J.D. from The George Washington University Law School, where she served as a staff member for The George Washington Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif.
Prior to attending law school, Rachel worked as a policy analyst at an international economic policy consulting firm. She completed her B.A. in international affairs and economics at The George Washington University.
