Biography

CHANG LIU focuses his practice on all aspects of corporate restructuring, including bankruptcy proceedings, out-of-court reorganizations and workouts, distressed debt acquisitions, and bankruptcy-related litigation.

While attending Duke University School of Law, Chang served as a judicial intern for Chief Judge Ashely M. Chan of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Prior to law school, Chang worked at another international firm, where he assisted attorneys with the bankruptcy case of one of the largest meat suppliers in the PRC.

Chang is fluent in Mandarin.

Representative Matters

  • Prospect Medical Holdings, Inc. (Prospect) and several of its subsidiaries in its Chapter 11 cases in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas. With over US$2.3 billion in outstanding funded debt, Prospect’s Chapter 11 cases are among the largest filed in 2025.
