Biography

TAYLOR MARCUSSON represents and advises clients in high-stakes disputes across litigation and arbitration matters.

Taylor has experience in advising her clients at all stages of litigation. She has substantial experience in both arguing and briefing successful motions in federal and state courts, and extensive experience with fact discovery, including managing discovery, drafting and responding to written discovery, preparing witnesses for depositions, taking depositions, resolving complex discovery disputes, and managing expert witness discovery. She also has experience managing mediation proceedings and submissions.

Taylor graduated cum laude from the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law in 2022, where she served as executive production editor of the Journal of Human Rights, was a teaching assistant for Constitutional Law, received the award for “Outstanding Teaching Assistant” in 2021 and 2022, and participated in the Carter Phillips Supreme Court Clinic and Center for Wrongful Convictions under Steven Drizin.

She earned her B.A. (magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa) from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. As an undergraduate, she received the Department of History’s “Martha Barrett Award” for the highest grade-point average in the department, and was a James Scholar.

Following law school graduation, Taylor completed a Public Interest Law Initiative post-graduate fellowship with the Carter Phillips Supreme Court Clinic.

Taylor maintains an active pro bono practice, with experience in post-conviction criminal justice cases at the federal and state level, constitutional criminal procedure, and constitutional civil rights.
