AARON MITCHELL focuses his practice on the tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, renewable energy, joint ventures, partnerships, oil and gas, infrastructure, and capital markets.
Aaron holds an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University. He earned his J.D. and B.S. from Texas A&M University, where he served as the president of Phi Delta Phi legal honor society and the speaker of the student senate. Aaron was awarded the Texas A&M University Association of Former Students’ Buck Wierus Spirit Award for outstanding contributions to student life.

- Enbridge Inc. in an infrastructure development agreement with Divert Inc. to develop wasted-food-to-RNG projects across the U.S. for up to more than US$1 billion of capital investments underpinned by long-term, take-or-pay contracts.
- Initial purchasers in connection with offering by Sunoco LP pursuant to Rule 144A of US$500 million in aggregate principal amount of senior notes due 2028.
- Sunoco LP (NYSE: SUN) in its acquisition of 16 refined product terminals located across the East Coast and Midwest from Zenith Energy for US$110 million.
- Western Midstream Partners, LP (NYSE: WES) in the offering by its subsidiary, Western Midstream Operating, LP, of US$750 million in an aggregate principal amount of 6.150% senior notes due 2033.
- Enbridge Inc. (NYSE: ENB) in its acquisition of a 10% stake in Divert, Inc. for US$80 million and entry into a related US$1 billion infrastructure agreement to develop facilities in North America that convert food waste into renewable natural gas.
