DESIREE MITCHELL focuses her practice on a wide range of commercial litigation matters.
Prior to joining Sidley, Desiree served as a law clerk for the Honorable Michael Y. Scudder of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and for the Honorable Steven C. Seeger of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
Desiree graduated from the University of Chicago Law School, where she served as an articles editor for The University of Chicago Law Review, academic chair for the Black Law Students Association, and president of the Dallin H. Oaks Society. She also participated in the law school's Federal Criminal Justice Clinic. Desiree earned her B.A. from Brigham Young University, where she majored in political science and minored in Russian.
