Biography
HECTOR PAGAN focuses his practice on representing financial institutions in investigations and enforcement actions brought by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), and other federal and state regulators.
Before joining Sidley, Hector served as a law clerk to The Honorable Gustavo A. Gelpí of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. He earned his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School. During law school, Hector was a note editor for the Suffolk University Law Review, a teaching assistant for the legal writing course, and a captain of the Constitutional Moot Court Team. He also worked as a hearing officer presiding over informal hearings and issuing written decisions on occupancy appeals.
Prior to attending law school, Hector worked as a licensed applied behavior analyst for a Massachusetts school district.
