COLE RIANDA focuses his practice on data privacy and cybersecurity matters. He has experience in cyber incident response; conducting internal investigations related to potential insider threats; communicating with auditors, insurers, and regulators; assessing notification requirements under state and federal privacy laws; and evaluating litigation strategy. He has also assisted clients in drafting AI governance policies and procedures; assessing compliance with privacy, cybersecurity, and national security laws; and updating public disclosures.
Cole received his J.D. from Yale Law School where he served as web editor of the Yale Law Journal and submissions editor of the Yale Journal on Regulation. He also served as a Coker Fellow for Professor Issa Kohler-Hausmann. Cole received his undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Yale University.
Prior to joining the firm, Cole completed a clerkship with The Honorable Steven M. Colloton of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
